Legal Secretary

Are you a Legal Secretary who wants to join a specialist environment? This is your opportunity to join a leading specialist defendant insurance firm that works closely with major insurers and corporate clients on complex and high-value claims.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting a busy team of experienced insurance litigators across a variety of matters, including public liability, professional indemnity, MVA and workers’ compensation.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Managing diaries, travel, and email for partners and lawyers
• Drafting, preparing, and reviewing legal documents and court briefs
• Coordinating file management - opening, closing, and maintaining accurate records
• Liaising with insurers, clients, and barristers
• Assisting with monthly billing and matter progress tracking
• Providing proactive admin support to ensure smooth running of the team

About you:

• 2+ years’ experience in legal support (insurance or litigation experience highly regarded)
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to juggle competing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Proactive, detail-driven, and able to handle confidential information
• Experience with billing systems and document management software (advantageous)

The Details

• Type: Full-time (8:30am – 5:00pm)
• Location: Brisbane CBD
• Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 (experience dependent)
• Contract: Permanent role
